Licensing Policy

Understand the rights granted when you purchase HX Studios products and how you can use them in your projects.

1. Overview

Purchasing a product grants you a license to use it under the terms defined here and in the product description. You do not own the product itself.

2. License Types

  • Standard License: Use in personal or commercial projects, modify files, include them in end products, and deploy across multiple internal projects.
  • Extended License: Some products offer expanded rights such as use in items for resale or SaaS deployments. Always review product-specific terms.

3. Permitted Uses

You may modify assets, include them in client work, create derivative works, and keep secure backups for personal use, provided you comply with the relevant license.

4. Prohibited Uses

Do not redistribute, resell, sublicense, or share products as standalone files. Do not upload them to public repositories, remove required attribution, or use them to build competing products. Hosting products as a SaaS/PaaS offering is prohibited without an extended or enterprise license.

5. Ownership and Transfer

Licenses attach to the purchasing account and are non-transferable unless otherwise specified. Team or multi-seat licenses must be purchased when multiple collaborators require access.

6. Attribution

Some creators require attribution. Follow the instructions provided in each listing. When attribution is optional, giving credit is appreciated.

7. Updates and Support

Updates are provided at the creator’s discretion. Support scope and response times vary per product. Lifetime updates apply only while the creator maintains the project.

8. Intellectual Property

Creators retain all IP rights. You own the final work you build but not the original product files.

9. Violations

License violations may result in terminated access, revoked licenses, account suspension, or legal action. Report suspected abuse through the support channel.

10. Refunds

If a refund is issued under an applicable exception, your license to that product is automatically revoked.

11. Open Source and Free Items

Some listings are released under open source licenses (MIT, GPL, Apache, etc.). Those license terms take precedence where applicable.

12. Changes

We may update licensing terms. Changes do not retroactively reduce rights for previously purchased products unless required for legal compliance.
